VideosJasmine Onyeka Obioha MD is a board certified medical and cosmetic dermatologist and offers the highest level of expertise possible in skin health. Dr. Obioha received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and graduated with a B.A. in Biology with honors. She completed medical school at UCLA, as a part of the Charles R. Drew Medical Education Program. She completed her dermatology residency training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where she served as chief resident during her final year. After completion of training, she joined Cedars Sinai Medical Group as an attending dermatologist. After 5 years, Dr. Obioha embarked on her journey into private practice.
She specializes in skincare, skin of color, cosmetic procedures, acne and hyperpigmentation. She also serves as a mentor and advocate for various organizations to increase diverse representation in the field of dermatology.
Dr. Obioha has authored many publications in top journals and textbooks, exploring the impact and treatment of conditions ranging from vitiligo, hair loss, hyperpigmentation and cosmetic procedures in skin of color.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, a member of the Skin of Color Society and serves on the Byrdie Beauty and Wellness Board. Her expertise has been featured in numerous editorial publications such as The Zoe Report, Vanity Fair, Hello Giggles, Byrdie, Vogue, Allure and more. TV media appearances include NBC, ABC, Inside Edition.
